1. SPONSORSHIP CLUSTER OFFICER (01 position) working for the Sponsorship Service Operations in Hanoi office.

WVV is a national office and does not directly raise funds for local sponsorship, however, is responsible for sponsor relations – creating effective communications and building relations between sponsors in support countries and registered children (RC) in Vietnam. Its sponsorship program seeks to comply as much as possible with the Child Management Standard which requires RC to be physically seen and progresses in the areas of health, education are monitored and documented every 3 months.

Main Responsibilities: To assist the Sponsorship Manager in facilitating and maintaining efficient and effective Sponsorship Service Operations, Sponsorship Programming and Child Monitoring according to the Sponsorship standards. To provide technical support to Area Development Program staff in the implementation of the Sponsorship Project activities in the designated working areas.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in any field.
  • Two years experience in community development or with NGO. Experience in Sponsorship operations is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated training and facilitation skills.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Good English, especially email/letters writing skills.
  • Good computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email.

2. NATIONAL COORDINATOR – DESIGN, MONITORING & EVALUATION (01 position)
. Work base: Negotiable.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To support World Vision Vietnam (WVV) in analysing , adapting and implementing “LEAP” as a common Design, Monitoring and Evaluation (DME) framework of WV partnership in all Area Development Programs (ADP) of WVV so that these ADPs will meet a minimum of service delivery in key development sectors while also promoting higher quality of sustainable programming.
  • To assist the Program Quality Support Director in establishing a management information system to monitor program and project achievements
  • To provide the technical support, advice and to build up the capacity of relevant staff in effective DME skills specifically relevant to the transformational development and integrated program model.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in any field, Master degree is preferred.
  • At least 5 years experience and excellent knowledge in Monitoring & Evaluation and Information Management systems.
  • Good skills in training and capacity building.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communications skills in verbal and written English and Vietnamese.
  • Experience of working with NGOs is an advantage.
  • Good computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email.

3. NATIONAL COORDINATOR – ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (1 position), work base: negotiable, preferably in Hanoi.

Main Responsibilities:

To assist the Program Quality Support Director in reviewing and updating the national Economic Development (ED) strategies, enhancing the quality of ED programs, and writing proposals; to provide technical advice concerning ED components to all Area Development Programs and special funded projects throughout Vietnam, and provide direction to overall capacity building in WVV’s ED activities.

Knowledge, Skills and Attitude Required:

  • Bachelor degree in relevant disciplines;
  • Five years experience in implementing programs that address issues of Economic development;
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and motivate national staff and partners;
  • Developed strategic approaches to address needs in the ED sector in developing countries;
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluating projects and ensuring that recommendations are implemented;
  • Experience in project design and proposal writing experience for government grants from donors such as USAID, AusAID, DFID, JICA and EU;
  • Experience networking with a range of donors, multi-lateral, and government bodies;
  • Be fluent in English, both written and spoken;

4. PROJECT MANAGER (01 position) working for the Coastal Areas of Thanh Hoa province Resilient to Natural Disasters (CATREND) project, based in Thanh Hoa city.

The CATREND project aims at helping communities in coastal and estuary areas in Hoang Hoa and Quang Xuong districts to reduce vulnerability and negative socio-economic impacts of natural disasters by linking disaster preparedness with mitigation and climate change adaptation measures in a comprehensive way.

Main Responsibilities: To manage the design, implementation, monitoring & evaluation of the project. The position is also expected to provide support to strengthen integration of Community- based Disaster Risk Reduction (CBDRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) into Area Development Programs (ADPs) in 07 on-going ADPs (Thuong Xuan, Lang Chanh, Cam Thuy, Ba Thuoc, Nhu Xuan, Quan Hoa and Quan Son) in Thanh Hoa Province.

Requirements:

  • A degree or equivalent experience in disaster risk reduction, or related field, preferably at Master’s level.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in senior management positions within NGO working in both disaster risk reduction and/or development in Vietnam.
  • Strong command of report and proposal writing in English and Vietnamese.
  • High networking and diplomacy skills.
  • Strong project planning, management, monitoring and evaluation skills.
  • Sound understanding on disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation.
  • Willing to travel extensively and cover difficult assignments.
  • Requires ability to adjust to harsh living conditions.
  • Good computer skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

5. PROJECT ASSISTANT – Health (1 position) working for the Area Development Programs (ADP) in Thuong Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province.

Main Responsibilities: Under the supervision and support of the ADP Manager, to provide management to the health project of ADP to achieve stipulated objectives.

Requirements:

  • University graduate, preferably in public health, medical, social work, community development or English.
  • At least one year experience. Experience of working in community-based health development is preferred.
  • Good English skills, particularly reading skill.
  • Good computer skills (word processing, excel).
  • Work at district level.
  • Good computer skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
