South East Asian Region
“Risk Management in general, is a process aimed at an efficient
balance between realizing opportunities for gains and minimizing
vulnerabilities and losses. It is an integral part of management
practice and essential element of good corporate governance.”
Hydropower Development has been determined by risk management. It has
become vital in the process of hydropower development to identify construction
and operational risks and the complexity of regional integration in several
continents, where the relations country to country are key parameters for
hydropower generation.
The International Centre for Hydropower (ICH) and EDL, Electricite
du Laos Generation Company proudly invites all the South East
Asian countries to participate in the first Regional Training course
in South East Asia – Risk Management in Hydropower Development,
to be held in Vientiane, Laos 12–17 November 2012
