Research Center for Management and Sustainable Development (MSD) is a Vietnamese non-government organization under Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Association, according to the decision number: 216/QĐ-LHH on March 05, 2008. We are now focusing on 4 working areas (1) capacity-building for Vietnamese CSO Development Effectiveness; (2) equality and sustainable lifestyle for disadvantaged children, youth and women; (3) climate change adaptation and environment protection; and (4) promoting CSR for companies

The position of a Communications Officer is now required to meet the development of the organization.

Position Overview

The main purpose of this position is to facilitate better collaboration between MSD and multi-stakeholders and effective resource mobilization for the organization. The Communications Officer will be responsible for developing and coordinating the internal and external communications for MSD. S/he will also be responsible for building, coordinating the fund raising team and mobilizing resources for the organization

The Communications Officer will report directly to the Executive Director.

Key duties and responsibilities:
1. External communication and building image for the organization
– Develop the external communication strategy for the organization with the guidance and support of the Executive Director and Program Manager
– Develop and maintain the relationship and ongoing communications with multi-stakeholders of the organization, including the government, donors, clients, business, media, partners, etc.
– Develop and maintain the communications of the organization through channels of website, newsletters, reports, brochure, facebook, blogs, etc.
– Prepare and distribute press releases, articles relating to the activities and achievements of the organization. Build relationship and encourage media to involve in and communicate for activities of MSD and MSD’s image
– Coordinate and organize the workshop and events of the organization
– Coordinate the documentation process of the organization and its activities to share with staffs, donors, clients, government, etc.
– Represent MSD at relevant events and meetings
2. Resouce mobilization
– Develop the resource mobilization strategy and action plan
– Recruit, develop and coordinate the fund raising team of the organization
– Coordinate the activities and events of fund raising and resource mobilization of the organization

Qualifications:
Required:
– Bachelor’s degree
– A minimum of two years experience in marketing, communication, or fund raising
– Experience in coordinating volunteer team
– Strong planning and management skills
– Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Vietnamese
– Excellent communication skill, team working skill as well as independent working
– Be innovative and active thinker/ learner
Preferred:
– Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Resource Mobilization, Strategic Management or related field
– Work experience with a national/ international CSOs
– Experience in internal and external communication role in a non-profit organization

3. Salary and Other Benefits:
Salary: Negotiable
