The Australian Aid Program is seeking an Executive Manager – Human Development Programs. The position will be based in the Australian Embassy, Hanoi.

The Executive Manager will be responsible for managing the implementation of Australian Aid Program scholarships in Vietnam. She/he will also have responsibility for oversight of health and HIV programs.. She/he will manage four staff and report to the Counsellor- Development Cooperation. This is a full-time position.

The successful candidate will meet the following selection criteria:

• Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English;
• Familiarity with the Australian higher education sector;
• Demonstrated high level of communication and negotiation skills;
• Demonstrated relevant experience in program and team management;
• Good analytical and problem solving skills; and
• Be performance and values driven, with the ability to meet deadlines and demonstrate initiative.

• Experience working in an international development agency;
• Experience working on scholarships and other human development issues;
• Experience working in Vietnam;
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field; and
• Good financial management skills.
