UNICEF Vietnam is looking for a qualified Vietnamese translator to work for Education section primarily from home

However the incumbent will also be required to come to the UNICEF office as requested to support translation of documents and minutes of meetings, as well as provide verbal interpretation at workshops with government partners.

Deadline for submission: 19 September 2008

Major duties and Responsibilities:

Provide written translation of documents related to Education Section as well as verbal interpretation for international consultants and the Section both in English and Vietnamese in delivery of training, conducting workshops and meetings both at offices and during field visits as required.
Contribute to the preparation of reports, project documents and submissions to
Government by providing information, preparing tables and drafting relatively routine sections.
Assist with the preparation of background information in discussions with Governments and other organizations.
Support the Section to maintain effective filing system.
Support the Section in administrative issues as required.
Perform other tasks as required by the Chief of the Education Section

Qualifications:

University degree in Social Science or related technical field
At least two (2) years of working experience as an Interpreter/Translator or
Administrative Assistant
Fluency in English and Vietnamese
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Good knowledge and understanding of education activities
Ability to work well in team and to work independently
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
