Coordinator for Good Governance in the Extractive Industry (mining)

The Consultancy on Development (CODE) is an independent Vietnamese not for profit organisation. CODE works including conducting research, consultancy and policy advocacy for sustainable natural resources management and development in Vietnam and other countries in Mekong region. CODE is seeking qualified candidate to work on following position:

1. Position: Coordinator for Good Governance in the Extractive Industry

2. Number of posts: 01

3. Location: Hanoi with some travel to provinces

4. Duration: 2 years with the renewable possibility

5. Main duties and responsibilities:

– Leading research, consultancy and policy advocacy on social, environmental impact, economic efficiency and good governance in mining, extractive industry sector in Vietnam and region;

– Participating to the research on sustainable natural resources management in Central highlands and Mekong delta regions.

6. Requirements:

– Vietnamese citizen with background on Development studies, Development economics, Social science and Natural Resource management.

– At least 5 years experience on the resource management, development and related fields;

– Capability to conduct research, consultancy, coordination;

– Fluent English and good computer skills;

– Having knowledge and experiences on mining sector, good governance and EITI would be an advantage.

7. Salary: Competitive salary depends on ability and experiences.
