Vacancy for: Administrator/Desk Officer – base in Hanoi

Our organisation:

We’re proud that Projects Abroad is the leading organisation recruiting young people from the UK, Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and Japan to do worthwhile voluntary work overseas.

Annually we send over 3500 enthusiastic volunteers to 30 developing countries to teach conversational English and to gain work experience in the fields of general care, medicine, veterinary science, conservation. We put enormous importance on the welfare of our volunteers during their time with us overseas – our global team is committed to providing our volunteers with the experience of a lifetime. We have an office in each country – our Country Directors head our local teams in each destination. This back-up and support for our volunteers is vital to the success of the organisation.

Projects Abroad Vietnam is set up as an International Non Governmental Organisation with office in Hanoi.

Your role as Administrator/Desk Officer:

 Following the Organisation’s guidelines, providing phone and email communication with volunteers before arrival, during and after their stay

 Prepare, maintain and update databases and spreadsheets

 Update all important documents and branding

 Maintaining accounts

 Work induction

 Other admin in office

Our requirements:

You should be:

 A graduate

 Fluent in English and Vietnamese, both spoken and written

 Mature in attitude and outlook

 Very organized and able to manage time efficiently

 Able to remain calm and efficient under pressure

 An excellent communicator with people of all ages and cultures

 A team player who enjoys working as part of a team

 Flexible and able to take direction and accept feedback

 Friendly and personable with customer service skills, you must respond well to others

 Enthusiastic to work in a different culture and relish the opportunity to work in a challenging environment

 INGO experience is an asset

Contract, salary and benefits

Contract

You will be employed on a permanent contract, subject to a three-month probationary period. An offer of employment is dependent upon receipt of satisfactory references, a medical assessment (if necessary) and personal interview.

Salary & benefits

You will be paid a competitive salary as well as agreed day-to-day work-related expenses; the exact salary depends upon your experience and will be discussed with you during the interview.
