Tổ chức Chữ thập đỏ Pháp tại Hà Nội cần tuyển cán bộ tư vấn khảo sát về bình đẳng giới,  nguồn nước và an toàn vệ sinh tại các dân tộc thiểu số. Hạn nhận hồ sơ đến 25 tháng 7 năm 2011. Thông tin chi tiết như sau:

The project: “Improving gender equality and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) conditions in ethnic minority areas”.

It a 3-year project funded by EuropeAid and the French Red Cross.

The general objective of the project is to contribute towards improving health, increasing gender equality and reducing poverty of ethnic minority groups located in 2 Northern provinces of Vietnam (Dien Bien, Son La, Lai Chau) through the use and dissemination of a participative, decentralized and inclusive approach.

Within the framework of this project, the FRC are looking for a skilled consultant to implement the initial baseline survey on gender and WASH components.

 The objectives of this consultancy are:

– to design and conduct a baseline survey aiming at capturing information and data that illustrates the current gender and WASH situation in the project areas (3 communes of Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Son La provinces).

– to analyze the qualitative and quantitative data gathered and issue a comprehensive and synthetic survey report.

This baseline survey will allow setting up project indicators and be a foundation for the monitoring and evaluating process of the project. In addition, the baseline survey results will be used to establish realistic goals from the log-frame indicators.

Required qualifications and experience

– Master degree in Social Sciences, Statistics or other relevant field

– Excellent research skills on both quantitative and qualitative survey, with at least 5 years experience in conducting field research, and using quantitative and qualitative software for analysis.

– Experience in implementing baseline surveys in the field of WASH and/or Gender.

– Experience in capacity building of local teams in research processes;

– Familiar with community development issues

– Good facilitation skills

– Excellent written and oral skills in both Vietnamese and English.
