Save the Children in Vietnam (SC) works to promote every child’s rights to survival, protection, participation and development as set forth in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.  The current programs focus on the following core sectors: Health and Nutrition; Education; Child protection; Child Poverty, and Advocacy for child-friendly development policy and practice.

We are looking for a qualified Vietnamese national for: 

Vacancy: Support Services Coordinator – Based in Hanoi

Main Responsibilities: The post holder is responsible for coordinating among support service teams as well as with program teams to ensure that the support services are effective. The post holder will provide support in coordination of HR, procurement, logistics, award management, and Area Offices, as well as development of relevant reports, particularly KPIs to the Regional Office in coordination with the Finance and Program Teams. The post-holder will also serve as the focal person on feedback to and revision of key procedures and functions including making practical recommendations to the SMT and support the revision of policies and procedures in close consultation with the Finance and Support Service Director (FSSD) to ensure compliance and effective implementation of the policies.  .

Key Competencies 

Essential

  • Minimum bachelor education in relevant discipline
  • At least 3 years of experience in award and/or logistics management in the humanitarian setting
  • At least 3 years of experience in logistics management in INGOs including humanitarian response environments;
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in performance monitoring tools and indicators
  • Experience in internal control and audit
  • Proven experience in all technical areas of logistics, including supply chain management, transportation and distribution, warehousing and inventory management, fleet management, assets management, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team skills, as well as staff capacity building
  • Experience of partnership management, preferably high level
  • Knowledge of computers, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook software
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written, preferred  
  • Commitment to Save the Children values

Desirable:

  • Previous or current knowledge of Save the Children logistics
  • Operational programming experience and
  • Experience in working with remote databases and field offices
