UNV tuyển cán bộ đào tạo

Tổ chức tình nguyện Liên hợp quốc (UNV) cần tuyển cán bộ đào tạo cho dự án Tình nguyện vì sự phát triển của Việt Nam (VDVN).  Hạn nhận hồ sơ đến ngày 4 tháng 8  năm 2011. Thông tin chi tiết như sau:

1. UNV ASSIGNMENT TITLE: Training Specialist

2. TYPE OF ASSIGNMENT (INTERNATIONAL OR NATIONAL UNV VOLUNTEER): National UNV

3. PROJECT TITLE: Volunteerism for development in Viet Nam (VDVN) project

4. DURATION: Initially 1 year with possibility of extension

5. LOCATION, COUNTRY: Hanoi, Vietnam

6. EXPECTED STARTING DATE: ASAP

7. Host Agency/Host Institute: Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU)

8. ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT: The VDVN project is executed by UNV and implemented by the HCYU

9. TYPE OF ASSIGNMENT PLACE: assignment with family

10. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Under the direct supervision of project’s Project Manager and in close consultation with the Project Advisor/coordinator, the UNV training specialist will undertake the following tasks:

a. Develop and support implementation of training strategy, plan and manual for HCYU and others stakeholders of VDVN project.

b. Strengthen the capacity HCYU and project partners in volunteer management trainings

c. Other related activities.

10. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

COMPETENCIES

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in developing training methodologies, plans and contents targeting volunteer activities and development;
  • Minimum 3 years of direct experience in delivering training on volunteer management, project management; leadership development, communication for volunteerism and organizational development ;
  • Very good knowledge and experience of evaluation and report writing of training programmes and packages;
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, results-based management;
  • Good knowledge of relevant governmental and non-governmental/volunteer organizations in Vietnam;
  • Knowledge about Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, especially in relation to the volunteer activities is desirable;
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team of international and national staff as well as understanding of the HCYU;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent ability to organize his/her workload;
  • Prior volunteer experience and commitment to volunteerism;
  • Being dynamic, energetic, flexible to changes, willingness to apply new approach;
  • Demonstrate personal sensitivity, flexible communications and commitment to the values and principles of volunteerism;
  • Understanding of cross-cutting themes and gender mainstreaming.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Policy and Planning, Project Management, Social Science or related academic discipline;
  • Specialization in training and project managements;
  • Experience with capacity building, training, facilitation and good presentation skills;
  • Analytical report writing skill;
  • Fluency in oral and written English;
  • Positive attitude and ability to work independently as well as part of a close-knit team in a professional and timely manner;
  • Proficiency in MS Office software applications;
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills;
  • Previous volunteer experience is desired;
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and to deliver under pressure with minimal supervision.

11. LIVING CONDITIONS: As this a National UNV position, candidates are expected to be already

familiar with local living conditions in Vietnam and duty station in Hanoi.

12. CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

A 12-month contract with possible extension; monthly volunteer living allowance (VLA) intended to cover housing, basic needs and utilities, medical insurance and other benefits according to conditions of Service for national UNVs.
