Since 1999 GTZ has maintained a representative office in Hanoi, which provides a full range of services to around 20 projects and programmes in the country. 

 

The Vietnamese – German ”Programme Vocational Training” at the General Directorate for Vocational Training (GDVT) under the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) includes German Technical Cooperation (GTZ). The project aims to improve the quality of vocational training and to foster cooperation between TVET institutes and enterprises. The project is looking for qualified person to fill the following position:  

 

Senior Project Coordinator  

Duty Station: Hanoi, with frequent travel to the TVET institutions of the project

 

Main responsibilities:  

• Managing project activities including planning, implementation, quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation, documentation of project activities

• Coordinating and assisting national and international consultants

• Co-operating with and ensuring regular contacts and dialogues to relevant stakeholders mainly the GDVT, promoted TVET institutes and industries as well as other GTZ projects in the Asian region

• Public Relations

• Researching and reporting developments in the TVET sector in Vietnam

Field visits to the regions

Minimum qualifications:  

• University degree (Master and/or Bachelor of Arts) preferably in engineering and/or pedagogical science (technical teacher);

• At least 5 to 7 years of professional working experience in management of projects in the field of international development cooperation or abroad;

• Knowledge and experience in public relations;

• Know-how in designing and conducting learning and teaching processes including curriculum development, teaching and learning material development, and in designing of further training concepts and in guiding their implementation;

• Excellent command of MS-Office

• Excellent skills for English in writing and speaking

• Specific knowledge of technical terms in English and Vietnamese used in TVET and development assistance is an asset.
